Who reads these "about me" pages? Is it crazy to think you might want to read about me? Well, here you are so I'll say just a little! I'm Heather and my babywearing journey began in 1998 with my daughter, without much success! When my son was born in 2002, I was so determined that I wore him in a padded ring sling-backwards! Once I lost my 60 pounds of ice cream weight from my pregnancy (oh yes I did gain that much and let me tell you-it's not a good idea!), that sling didn't work so well anymore! So, my super sewer friend, Jessica (she sews the Mei Tai's for me) and I took our padded slings apart and made some non-padded slings and we went around town carrying our little ones (boy did we get strange looks)!Soon people started asking where we got them and BOOM-here we are! One day, I asked her to make me a Mei Tai for a talk I was doing at the local hospital and I loved it so much, we added it to the site!
Want to hear more? Well, I've been married to my love since 1997 and we have the two kids that I mentioned above, along with various animals. We love to be outside (me during the summer and my husband during the winter). My passions (soapbox some might say) are homebirthing, breastfeeding, babywearing , natural living, and non vaxing. My kids are my joy (although one of my favorite quotes is: God, give me the patience to deal with my blessings!) and I am blessed enough to be able to stay home with them. I am so grateful to be where I am, with my family and with God, guiding us the whole time. We became believers (after a few major crises-that's how it usually happens!) in 2003 and we try to live our lives for Christ, daily. Life is definitely hard work and to take the words of Lee Ann Womack: "I hope you never lose your sense of wonder. May you never take one single breath for granted! Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance.I hope you dance! "That's what it's about, right? Get out there and try-everyday!

Now for you! Why should this be all about me? I'd love to hear about you! Write to me and tell me how you got to this BabyWearing place in your life!
Thank you so much for checking out my site and I hope you find what you are looking for!
Remember- cradle your little ones with love!
